Most people believe that Satan `The Devil' is a red man type creature with horns and possibly a tail and hooves. Similar to the above picture. Maybe this common vision of him helps people to just think he is fabricated to scare children into doing right? Maybe if we knew what he really looks like we may not be scared and not realize the power he has?

No one really knows what Satan looks like but we know this. He was a very high ranking Angel and became a fallen angel when he was thrown out of heaven along with his followers. Angels are spiritual beings but do not have a `human' body form. They can however take physical form and appear to people so we know that both Satan and his Demons who are also fallen angels can appear to us in any chosen form or a form that we fear. You would assume that they generally would reside in their own `normal' angel like form but saying that, and remembering they rebelled against God, it is possible they took on a new form altogether in defiance.

Satan was not created as `evil' but just like all of God's creation including angels and humans, they were free spirits with freewill and not unthinking machines. Just like humans, angels had the choice to follow or reject God.

In the bible it describes Satan as Lucifer, a pre-fall name, apparently the highest created angel. He became arrogant in his beauty and status and decided he wanted to sit on a throne above that of God. Satan's pride led to his fall. Because of his sin, God barred Satan from heaven. Along with Satan, one third of the angels were also thrown out of heaven for following Satan. These are what we know as Demons and they create havoc in the world today under Satans control.

Unfortunately Satan does exist and his mission in life is to destroy you and everything and everyone around you. Now do you see why he does not want you to believe he is real?
