Just like Demons (who are fallen angels) angels are spiritual beings without true physical bodies as we know it. They have intelligence, emotions and freewill. They are created higher than humans but do have limited knowledge so do not know all the things God knows. Angels are likely to have greater knowledge than humans because they do not need to study the past as they have experienced it. They can read us better than we know ourselves, just as demons can. In the bible it says angels study the bible more thoroughly than humans to gain knowledge from it.

What are angels for? They praise God, they worship God, they rejoice in what God does, they serve God, they appear before God, they are instruments of God's judgments, they bring answers to prayer, they aid in winning people to Christ, they observe Christian order, work, and suffering, they encourage in times of danger and they care for the righteous at the time of death.
